Welcome to a monster sized blog post!!!! :) SOooooo many great images from last Saturday, and I had to work really hard to be selective for this post (and didn’t do so great at being selective… hence the long blog post). Lindsay and Joe are energetic and fun, and the details of this day were beautiful… but it’s the friends and family, and the moments they shared during this day that made this wedding so special. The day started with Lindsay and her girls getting ready… I really loved her style and the flower in her hair - it photographed really well!

After Lindsay put on her wedding dress, she received a gift from Joe (let’s just say it was a little blue box) and she started to cry… and then all of the girls around her started to cry… and there was a room of at least 10 girls crying. And what’s a photographer to do? I also started to cry - so that made one more. But I cried behind the camera and kept on photographing the moments. :)

They chose to have a first look moment, which I love. What better setting than a beautiful garden? The Wayzata Community Church is so beautiful.

She looked stunning.

One thing Lindsay and I have in common - a love for bright colors. :)

I couldn’t decide between the next two. I love their joyful expressions in both of them. :)

We stopped for a few portraits… I love the lighting! I also think the garden setting works perfectly with the dress.

The reception as at the beautiful Lafayette Club. Absolutely gorgeous, and beautiful light. :)

Instead of a traditional cake, they had ‘cake shooters’, which I have to say were absolutely delicious! Also the neatest idea - as their party favors, they made a donation to the American Cancer Society. I’ve never seen anything like this at a wedding, and as someone who has personally had several member of my family affected by Cancer, I love the idea.

I love looking at the wedding party in the background having a good time!

The great thing about this shot is that I think Joe totally was working the camera! :) I think he caught me out of the corner of his eye, and then promptly snuggled into Lindsay. I’m not sure if he’ll have the same story, but either way nice work!

… and if there’s one thing these families know how to do - it’s have a good time!! The dance floor was PACKED. I’ve photographed some packed dance floors, but I think this one might actually take the prize for the best dancing!!

Thank you Lindsay, Joe, friends, and family for making me a part of this amazing day. I’ll never forget it! - Betsy
PS - Here I am on facebook. I’d love to keep in touch!
