I was pretty excited for this wedding….. I hadn’t met Lindsay or Robert before, but I knew Lindsay’s sister, Amy, and am BFF’s with the personal attendant. The ceremony was probably at one of the most beautiful places I’ve photographed in - the Zuhrah Shrine Center.

Here are some photos of the ‘first look’ moment…. I love how the light catches in Lindsay’s veil.

Beautiful architecture, perfect lighting, and a sweet expressive couple? Yes please! I was a pretty happy photographer. :)

This may be one of my favorite shots of the day….. the light on the ceiling is so awesome!

Awesome moment with Robert and Henry…

Lindsay and Robert did what I hope all couples do - set aside some time for portraits of just the two of them! So often the list of formals grows so long that portrait time is squeezed in or forgotten. Some of my favorites shots of the day came from this time.

Across the street for some pictures near this wonderful iron fence (very much my aesthetic!)

Lindsay was such a sweet and content bride. She was totally up for anything with the portraits (note to brides - when doing portraits before the ceremony, I do my best to be careful with the dress). Robert’s thing is theater. And I could tell. Very expressive. Very awesome for a photojournalist.

Even though I had clearance to use flash if necessary (which I was hesitant to do) I didn’t use it! The balcony made for a nice tripod for me to use.

Then to Jax Cafe downtown for a wonderful dinner. This is a shot from signing the marriage certificate. And there was dancing by all. Best certificate signing ever! :)

Roberts family has a tradition to wear these at weddings - a joke about family resemblance. This wedding was loaded with fun moments like these!

The first dance. I love the color in this one! :)

This is the personal attendant (Catherine) and I bustin’ a move on the dance floor. The friend responsible for getting me into photography (Dave, Catherine’s husband) was there… he took some shots of us being crazy.

… me and some air guitar action. I’ve been quite busy with photography lately that I haven’t been able to relax. This was just what I needed. :)

Thanks for an awesome wedding day!!
