I had so much fun last night! I thought I’d post a quick one for now….. more to come!

I had so much fun last night! I thought I’d post a quick one for now….. more to come!

Get ready for a long one! I’m a bit bias toward this wedding for a couple reasons… sentiment, as it was for my little sister’s BFF in my hometown of Loup City, Nebraska. Secondly, Charley has FABULOUS taste. The style was vintage 1940’s and everything I could hope for in a wedding.

I have a dress shot without the pictures and furniture, but I actually liked this one the best. The setting added a more eclectic and interesting feel to the image.

One of my favorites of the day. Totally proud of myself for catching this quick glance. :)

This is my sis, Ann.

Then off to the Lutheran church to finish getting ready…. putting on the dress is always a team effort!

They chose to have a ‘first look’ moment before the ceremony. Gary is crazy for her, obviously!

Then off for a little portrait session. Red barn, farm house, an absolute dream for me! :)

Charley - you are gorgeous!

So a little explanation for the following images: the first one is what I was going for….

With sun flare shots I typically get a few great ones, and then many with sun-flare in the wrong spots. These next two could be considered technically poor images, but I thought they looked artsy and cool. Apparently my sensor has dust (only visible at f16) but I intentionally left it in for effect. I also increased noise as much as possible… these next two probably aren’t for everyone, but I love ‘em. :)

Off to get married! :)

The Husker’s game was playing on the radio in the fellowship hall before and after the ceremony ended. I caught this during the ceremony - this is what you get for scheduling a wedding over the game! ** Phone number garbled for blog…. also, this game didn’t end well for the Huskers. :(

Charley and Gary were surprised with a trailer and couches to take them to the reception.

Beautiful cake!

….. let’s just say this best-man speech is one I’ll never forget. :)

My sister caught the bouquet! Nice work Ann.

Yep. That means she’s single. Calling all cute, responsible, but still fun guys. Keep in mind you’ll have to pass the big sis test though. ;)

Congratulations Charley and Gary. Have a fantastic time in the east coast!
I had this idea to leave last night after the wedding in Loup City… the original intent was to just make some progress on our 10 hour drive and stop in Omaha to rest. My crazy husband instead decided to down a couple cans of Starbucks double-shot and Coca-cola…. and we arrived home at 7:00 a.m. this morning. I’m so very tired but I thought I’d share this picture from Charley and Gary’s vintage-fab wedding. More to come!
